Oregon Hemp & Cannabis Fair Will Be Held on April 1 and 2

Hemp & Cannabis Fair

The Hemp & Cannabis Fair will be held at the Oregon State Fairgrounds on April 1 and 2. The educational event will focus on hemp and cannabis. Exhibits regarding growing, medicinal uses, legislation and harvesting will be available.

This year, there are two stages where speakers will give presentations on varying topics, according to Statesman Journal. A highly recommended seminar to attend is on April 1 at 3 p.m. where the featured speaker is Brian Michaels. Seminars regarding growing, legal issues and the growing process are on the agenda.

Event director Naomi Forkash said, “Ask questions, learn about the newest products and technologies, find out what an extract is and how it works. A lot has changed, even just in the way we consume cannabis.”

Forkash also said, “We have over 100 exhibitors, local vendors and national vendors. Everything from growing supplies to smoking accessories to processing tools. It’s a fun expo to go to.”

Regarding Brian Michaels, Forkash said, “He is one of the top marijuana attorneys in Oregon. It’s a really great session for anyone who is maybe looking to start a cannabis business or to learn ‘what can I do in my backyard?’”

No marijuana consumption is permitted within the fairgrounds. Dispensaries will be present, but they will not be selling marijuana at the event.

Forkash said, “We are not a dispensary. You can’t purchase (marijuana) at the show but lots of dispensaries are there and often will provide coupons for freebies at their shops. It’s a great way for attendees to find their next favorite dispensary.”

A ticket for the entire weekend costs $15. If you are a veteran, a weekend ticket is just $10.

Those ages 21 and older may attend. If you are a medical marijuana patient, with your card you can attend if you are at least 18 years old.
